Priyanka's Gesture

June 6, 2010

The meeting of Priyanka Gandhi with Nalini Sriharan is not an act to be wondered at or be discussed in the context of revenge. Since “revenge” was the factor that motivated Satan to devastate the wonderful creation of God (man). Her visit is quite personal rather than a political one – to know the truth behind her father’s assassination. It should be taken as every child’s emotional attachment towards his/her parents. Above all, the very reaction of the Gandhi family to this particular case shows that they have set an example for others to rise above exploiting each and every issue for political gains. We need to learn from Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy who promoted peace by setting aside revenge.
