Tame Inflation

The obduracy of Dr. Manmohan Singh to somehow find a breakthrough to the Indo-U.S. nuclear deal is not understandable.  How can he forget the fact that he is heading a coalition government backed by the Left parties who have made it amply clear to withdraw support if the deal is moved forward. Even by relinquishing his office, Dr. Singh would only vindicate that his sensitivity to the relations with the U.S. weigh him over the domestic issues.  It is high time he decided to put the nuclear deal on back-burner and try his hand to tame the runaway inflation that has become a Frankenstein’s monster.
