FIRST MUSLIM COLLEGE IN USA
 
Zaytuna College in California is coming up as America’s first ever Muslim college. It is a brainchild of Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, Imam Shakir and Professor Hatem Bazian. With the application process coming to a close, a committee is readying to study the applications and admit between 20-25 students as incoming freshmen. RIYADH TO FINANCE YEMEN
 
Saudi Arabia and Yemen will sign nine agreements during the coordination council meeting that begins in Riyadh. The agreements will include deals to finance water, electricity, health and educational projects in Yemen. The Khartoum government and the largest and most powerful rebel group in restive Darfur have signed a ceasefire agreement and a framework of final peace deal. IMF LOAN FOR IRAQ
 
The International Monetary Fund approved a $3.64 billion loan for Iraq.
The loan would help plug financing needs of close to $5 billion until the end of 2011.  In addition to the IMF money, the gap would be filled by funding from the World Bank and other small donors, he said. Life returned to normal in Muslim-majority Niger on February 19, a day after a military coup that ousted President Mamadou Tandja.
