Abdul Latif and Riyaz Ali, arrested for allegedly planning to carry out terror attacks in Mumbai, have sought bail submitting a letter in a local court alleging police torture. MADRASA TEACHERS NOT PAID FOR 14 MONTHS
 
The teachers of Madrasas in Allahabad and Kaushambi have not been paid salaries for the last 14 months. Most of them are on the verge of starvation. As many as 23 Madrasa teachers in Allahabad and 20 in Kaushambi are not getting salaries since May 2009. Pune based S.M. Joshi Socialist Foundation was scheduled to host book release function of Marathi translation of Who Killed Karkare written by S.M. CHAOS IN SRINAGAR, ONE MORE DIED IN POLICE FIRING
 
One more died and five others got severe bullet injuries when police fired indiscriminately on people protesting the death of a youth in Srinagar on June 20.
