Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has severely condemned an American church’s Satanic plan to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11 by putting the copies of the Holy Qur'an on fire, and termed it as a diabolic part of the ongoing conspiracy against Islam hatched by the forces inimical to Islam.

Jamaat’s Secretary-General Nusrat Ali, in a statement, said the forces that plotted the mischievous plan to assault the Divine Book have taken this irresponsible move just to cover their ongoing acts of coercion and aggression against the Muslim world, which must be condemned by every quarter of the world.

Mr. Ali urged the American administration to stop with the power at its disposal this diabolic plan, and not to let it succeed, as it is feared that it would cause anguish among the Muslims the world over and create havoc all around.

The Jamaat leader has congratulated a Muslim organisation of America which, in response to the church’s initiative, has decided to distribute 10 lakh copies of the Divine Book among the people. He said that the most appropriate way to counter the communal forces is by acquainting the world at large with the Quran, its teachings and the holy life of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be to him) so that the truth may prevail. He said that only then the world will be able to decide whether the Divine Book is to be set ablaze or deserves respect as it can shape their life here and in the hereafter.
