AIMPLB TO MOVE SC AGAINST ALLAHABAD HC VERDICT ON BABRI MASJID

CIVIL SOCIETY DEPLORES BABRI MASJID VERDICT
 
In the first civil society response in the capital to the Babri Masjid verdict, eminent historians and activists deplored the “disturbing absence of the concept of secularism” in the lengthy judgment. SAI SANCTIONS RS. 3.9 CRORE FOR HOCKEY ASTRO TURF AT AMU
 

The Sports Authority of India has informed the Aligarh Muslim University as well as the CPWD (Agra) that a sum of Rs: 3 Crore and 90 Lakh has been sanctioned for Hockey Astro Turf in the Governing Body meeting of the Sports Authority of India recently. DR. MASOOD HUSAIN KHAN DIES
 
Eminent linguist and Emeritus Professor of Aligarh Muslim University, Dr. Masood Husain Khan died at Aligarh, a statement said on October 16. Dr. Khan, 92-year old scholar of Urdu, served as Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and Jamia Urdu, Aligarh. HARVARD GETS BIGGEST INT'L DONATION IN 102 YRS, FROM TATA GROUP
