Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has issued notice to seven more youths to appear before the police in connection with the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case. Reports said that the ATS on February 19 issued notice under Section 160 of the Cr.PC, which empowers the police to require attendance of witnesses during investigation. The Central Bureau of Investigation has moved the Supreme Court against a judgment of the Allahabad High Court upholding the dropping of conspiracy charge by a special court against BJP leaders L.K. Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and 18 others in the Babri Masjid demolition case.
