A Travesty of Justice
 
Special Judge P.R. Patel pronounced death penalty for 11 Muslims and life imprisonment for 20 Muslims for allegedly burning S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express in 2002. The train burning incident rendered 59 kar sevaks dead and triggered anti-Muslim riots which claimed over 2000 lives, mostly Muslims. Despite the impressive economic growth, India has not led to a reduction in under-nutrition among its children. There is no gainsaying that the West is trying to fish in the troubled waters of Libya to gain hold of its rich oil reserves.  The revolution for a change in the leadership should evolve from within the people of Libya albeit there will be huge loss of life in the process. Any meddling into the crisis by the ‘powers that be’ would not only be counter productive but that will push the already wretched nation into a calamitous abyss.
