So, the politicians have had their say. After a bellyful of speeches by Obama that seemed to have convinced no one but himself (which is only what he is good at) and an incredible frog leap from pro-Palestinian back to the puppet, dancing to the Israeli tunes sung by the AIPAC (elections round the corner, to remind you) we find that the moribund ‘peace process’ has inched backwards. After that staged showdown between Obama and Netanyahu, the former has blinked first yet again wavering from his resolve to ‘fully back the Palestinians.’
Indeed I wonder whether it was staged just to demoralise the Palestinians into believing that their quest for an independent state is useless without even the American support.
Let’s not launch in to another tirade against Obama and his policies (helpless that he already is). Indeed he has taken a significant step forward simply by trying to look into Netanyahu’s eye.
Even though this peace process and another state visit ends in an all too familiar atmosphere of ‘special friendship’ and ‘concern for one another’, it is imperative for us Muslims to draw some important concluions from these latest events.
Despite the public storm that it has been facing from the world off late, Israel continues to throw its weight around using the U.S.
Imagine a small, fragile state about 70 years back and now the power it wields. No one, not even countries with huge manpower such as China, is able to command such influence. The Israelis have craftily integrated themselves into the American society to such an extent that they control the American administration like the brain controls the body. The Israelis control all funds, research – everything, so that they control all the end products of the hard work and the billions spent on research and the Israelis take it all away in ‘research exchanges’.
Without a doubt, it has worked for them .
What should be noted is how all this came about to be this way. Initially the Israeli millionaires utilised so effectively that they not only control the Govt. but also the media (newspapers, news channels, etc.) that can easily convert night into day and evil into good . Such are the powers at their disposals.
Contrast that to the wealth-laden, oil-rich but totally unassuming spendthrifts of the Arab world who can only throw huge parties and ‘safely’ deposit wealth in Swiss bank accounts only to keep it at their disposal and get it impounded in case they go against their Western masters.
Ultimately those who control the cash flow are the ones who control everyone from the media to the military.
The Muslims only have themselves to blame for their predicament. The Arabs control the most important weapon: oil. That is why America tries to control the region using Israel (or maybe the other way around), scare tactics, fear factor of Iran, etc. or direct millitary intervention as in Iraq and providing ‘protection’ to Arab states by establishing huge military bases in the Gulf region.
What the Arabs need to realise is that if they want a say in any of the world matters , they have to utilise their God-gifted resources at their disposal along with the money that it brings in order to get what we all want to get: freedom . A world free of Israel and tyrants of their type.
