WELFARE PARTY PROTESTS SURVEYS OF MOSQUES AND MADRASAS
 

The Welfare Party of India protested vehemently against conducting surveys of Mosques and Madrasas by the Surat Police. The general secretary of the Welfare Party, Mr. Qasim Rasool Ilyas has said that by conducting such demeaning surveys it is only making the Muslim community vulnerable to suspicion and instilling a sense of fear in them. CALICUT TO HAVE INDIA\'S LARGEST MOSQUE
 

Calicut will soon be known as a city to have the largest mosque in India. Plans for its construction have started and its model is being worked upon. The cost for the construction of this majestic mosque will be provided by the Non-Residential Indians (NRIs) living in the Gulf, said Mr. Hakeem Azhari, Joint Secretary of Cultural Centre, Calicut, Kerala. U.P. TOPS FAKE ENCOUNTERS LIST
 

U.P. is in the news and this time for the wrong reason of the growing numbers of fake encounters. In the past three years, U.P. Police has allegedly killed 120 people in fake encounters. PEACE RESTORED, CURFEW PREVAILS IN MORADABAD
 

On August 8, the peaceful Ramadhan night at Moradabad was transformed into the night of turbulence and violence. The ruckus happened when a group of Kanwarias insisted on taking out the procession from an undeclared route and decided to take it through the Muslim community. JIH DEMANDS HIGH LEVEL ENQUIRY INTO MORADABAD RIOTS
 

The Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mr. Nusrat Ali, in a press statement on August 11, has expressed grief and sorrow over the latest Moradabad riots. In a fresh blow to the Gujarat state government, deputy inspector general (DIG) Rajnish Rai has named Modi’s close aide and former DGP PC Pande as a conspirator in the Tulsi Prajapati ‘fake’ encounter case.
