A police post was set on fire in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, after the alleged custodial death of Ranjit Maurya. PLEA DEMANDING STAY IN GULBERG TRIAL REJECTED
 

A special trial court for the 2002 Gulberg Society massacre case rejected an application seeking a stay on the trial proceedings till the SC-appointed SIT (Special Investigating Team) submits its final report in the case in the court. RAPE CASE TO BE FILED AGAINST COPS IN BHATTA PARSAUL CASE
 

A court in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Nov 18 ordered registration of a rape and robbery case against 21 police and PAC men on the complaint of a woman from Bhatta Parsaul village where farmers had revolted against acquisition of their land.
