Why Afraid of an Enquiry?

Readers Pulse

General Secretary of the Congress Party Digvijay Singh told the media in Azamgarh recently that he had demanded a judicial inquiry into the Batla House fake encounter but the Prime Minister and the Home Minister thought that it was a genuine encounter, so there is no need for any inquiry.

Similarly, the Modi government of Gujarat has been singing in the same tune that all encounters in Gujarat are genuine, but after appointment of SIT by the Supreme Court, the reality has started coming to light. With the revelation of the SIT report so far, the world has come to know that most of the encounters are fake.

If the government is so confident that Batla House encounter was genuine, why is it hesitating in carrying out a thorough inquiry into this encounter ?
