Sachin Tendulkar’s Nomination to RS

There has been a vast and varied reaction to Sachin Tendulkar’s nomination to Rajya Sabha. All is not complimentary. There is a joke doing the rounds on SMS. Nominating  Sachin is Dr Manmohan Singh’s idea. The reason? The PM is fed up of being called the dumbest member of Parliament! People having digs at Sachin Tendulkar should not forget that he may prove to be a hit as an MP beyond anybody’s expectations. After all, with a catching script and proper direction he has succeeded in selling products ranging from biscuits to insurance policies. “Nuclear power, go get it!”
