AMU STUDENT NAMED FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE MICROSCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, (Retd.) Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah, felicitated Ms. Hira Sultan, student of Diploma in Engineering (Computer) who has been selected for the English Access Micro Scholarship programme 2012 U.S. Summer Access Plus Alumni Workshop. Hira Sultan is the only female student of India who was finally selected on the basis of all India level competition organised by Regional English Language Office of the American Embassy. She belongs to economically backward and underprivileged section of the society. The US Department of State, AMIDEAST and the programme providers will provide an excellent experience for the selected girl. She will stay in US for more than a month and will spend 10 days at the University of Arkansas to complete an upper level leadership and community service development programme. She will also travel to the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT and attend three-day Camp Counsellor training.
