JIH DEMANDS COMPENSATION OF RS 50 LAKH FOR QATEEL’S KIN

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has condemned the brutal killing of Qateel Siddiqui, under trial on charges of terrorism, inside the jail in Pune and demanded the compensation of Rs. 50 lakh to his relatives. It has also demanded strict measures to be taken against the killers as well as against the jail authorities. In a press statement, the General Secretary, Mr. Nusrat Ali lamented the irony of the government which on the one hand indulges continuously in the wrong practice of implicating Muslims in false cases and sending them to jail and at the same time remains inefficient in protecting them even inside the jails. He further said that giving in to the demands of the fascist and Zionist forces of the country and targeting the innocent civilians of the country is against the constitution of the country.
