EGYPTIANS STAGE MILLION-MAN MARCH AGAINST RULING JUNTA

Thousands of Egyptians have poured into the streets in the capital, Cairo, to voice their anger at the ruling military council. Angry protesters in Cairo’s Liberation Square in yet another show of people’s power against the Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) which has been maintaining a tight grip on power. The mass demo came upon a call for a million-man march by the largest political party Muslim Brotherhood and the April 6 Youth Movement, who have been protesting against what they call a constitutional coup against Egypt’s February 2011 revolution. Over the weekend, the SCAF dissolved the parliament and claimed all legislative powers.
