Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has termed the success of Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan al-Muslimoon) candidate Mohamed Morsi in the presidential election in Egypt as the expression of Ultimate Power of Allah the Exalted in changing the situation (for the better) and as an important political event in the present times. It has also extended very warm congratulations to the new elected president as well as Ikhwan.
In a statement on June 25, JIH Amir Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari said the success of Ikhwan in the presidential election is the fruition of the matchless sacrifices of Imam Hasan al-Banna Shaheed, Syed Qutb Shaheed, Abdul Qadir Audah Shaheed and thousands of Ikhwani men and women and their extraordinary steadfastness in Islam in a dangerous Pharaonical environment of oppression and coercion spread over half a century – for which each and every Ikhwani and Egyptian deserves congratulations.
On this occasion, JIH Amir has reminded, brotherly and sincerely, the Ikhwan functionaries that anti-Islam and anti-Muslim forces and the Jewish state Israel, established in their patronage at the borders of Egypt and in the heart of the Islamic world, would not bear it wholeheartedly; hence the new government of Egypt, with its home and foreign policies, should prove that Islam is the sources of success and salvation for the whole world and for this it has a complete system.
Maulana Umari, the leader of Islamic Movement in India, has also expressed the hope that the new government of Egypt would further strengthen its longstanding relations with India, an important power in Asia; and that our country too would take stock of the situation realistically and judiciously and create closeness and warmth in her relations with the Arab world and Muslim States.
