DCP ORDERS TO SHAVE OFF BEARD, STATE HOME MINISTER CANCELS IT
 

Constable Ishaq got the orders from the DCP of Maharashtra to shave off his beard within 15 days; however the State Home Minister has cancelled the order. The orders were taken off after Naseem Khan, president of state minority welfare, met with the State Home Minister RR Patil and pressed him to call off the undemocratic and non-secular order. The Supreme Court has dismissed the Gujarat government’s plea to review its order for a CBI probe into the alleged extra-judicial killing of Tulsiram Prajapati, an eyewitness to ‘fake encounter’ case of Sohrabuddin Sheikh, allegedly involving state’s former home minister Amit Shah. Emulating the corrupt people as “Dracula,” the Jammu & Kashmir High Court has given the directives to the state government to come up with the laws which would have provision to withhold the properties and money of the people acquired through corrupt means. Acting on a writ petition, Justice Muzaffar Attar urged the government to make amendments in the present law and come up with something that would have a provision for seizing the properties and money.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has allegedly allowed the sale of ‘communal’ literature at the civic centre on July 13.
