JIH AMEER CONGRATULATES MORSI OVER ADOPTION OF NEW CONSTITUTION

Muslim World

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omari has extended congratulations to President Dr. Mohamed Morsi as well as the people of Egypt on the adoption of new constitution in Egypt. In a letter addressed to President Morsi, the Jamaat Ameer said that the people of Egypt, by voting for the new constitution, have restored the Islamic identity and dignity of Egypt, the land of Prophets; and, by rejecting the non-Islamic ideology and system, they have accepted the path of God’s pleasure, which would give a new life-giving message to the world confronted with problems of sorts, in particular to Muslim countries.

The Jamaat leader said the extraordinary sacrifices offered by the Egyptian people even by laying down their lives at the Tahrir Square during the revolution days to keep their country on Islamic footing would be written in golden letters in history. Likewise, the history would also never forget the exemplary tireless strivings made by the Ikhwan al-Muslimoon and its leaders and associates to take the country from the dominance of dictatorial, un-Islamic and Pharaonic ideology and system to the adoption of new constitution.

Congratulating President Morsi for handling the situation prudently and tactically and for turning the tide of internal and external conspiracies with utmost wisdom and valour, the Jamaat leader said that the real success of his government lies in providing the country with opportunities to benefit from the merciful system of Islam in a way that the rule of Islam is felt in the environs of Egypt and the contented life of Egyptian people may give the world the message of peace and tranquillity.
