‘GOVT. VIOLATING PRIVACY NORMS IN NAME OF TERRORISM’

Inside India

The government is trying to violate the privacy norms and reduce the citizens’ rights in the name of terrorism. Phone tapping and emails scanning are parts of it. These are the views of Dr. Zafarul-Islam Khan, president AIMMM. He urged the Muslims not to rely upon so-called pro-Muslim parties that consider Muslims as stranded voters who have the only choice to vote for them.

In another case, the Hyderabad correspondent of BBC, Omer Farooq, asked the media persons to show some responsibility while covering the news especially of bomb blasts and not to point finger towards any group until the investigation comes to an end. He also expressed his pleasure that the investigating agencies, for the first time, did not name any Muslim outfit in a blast.

Meanwhile, the Jamia Teachers Solidarity Association has asked the government to reinstate the terminated scientist Aejaz Mirza and to stop fostering the charge-sheeted Col. Purohit in jail.
