AJMER BLAST ACCUSED CONFESSES BEFORE MAGISTRATE

Inside India

Bhavesh Patel, the accused of Ajmer bomb blast, on 22 April, confessed before a magistrate to being part of the Hindutva terror group that planted two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in the Dargah of Ajmer, Rajasthan on 11 October 2007. Bhavesh has said in his statement that some seven or eight days before the blast, Suresh Bhai (Suresh Nair) invited him for a visit to Ajmer. Then he went to Godhra and met Suresh, Harshad aka Raj and Mukesh Vasani and they all headed towards Ajmer. Bhavesh further adds that it was only after they sat in the bus to return to Gujarat, that Suresh Nair told him that they had gone to the Dargah to plant bombs.

On return, Nair told Bhavesh that the plan was of Manoj Bhai (the name used for the RSS Pracharak Sunil Joshi who was killed by his own men after the blast). Harshad and Mukesh have already been arrested while Suresh is still on stretch.
