NIA to Ditch Political Pressure

Readers Pulse

This is apropos of the cover story of the Radiance (9-15 June). The National Investigation Agency has successfully won the trust of common men with its fair and impartial probe into terror cases as of now. It is its impartiality that has shown a ray of hope to hundreds of distraught people who have surrendered themselves to their fate. In order to retain people’s confidence in the investigating agency, the agency has to be beyond the boundaries of cast, creed, religion and money. But what is most important that has solely spoiled the credibility of other agencies is accepting political and bureaucratic pressure. Let us hope the new team will not go the way other agencies have chosen.
