TITLE SUIT OF TEELA WALI MASJID CHALLENGED

Inside India

Advocates Hari Shankar Jain and Ranjana Agnihotri have recently moved an application in the additional civil court, challenging the title suit of the historic Teela Wali Masjid in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In his application, the plaintiff has urged the court to allow them perform Puja Hawan at the place where the mosque is situated. Some Hindu extremists call the Teela Wali Masjid the Lakshman Teela. The mosque was constructed by Shah Peer a hundred years ago and still it witnesses a sea of people especially during the prayers of Juma and Eid.
