I am surprised by the report about the conferral of World Medal of Freedom to Professor G.K. Sheikh of Jammu by The American Biographical Institute (Radiance, 19-25 November).
This institute is a bogus organisation and not more than a commercial enterprise. The same is more or less true of the International Biography Centre, Cambridge, UK. I wish a journal of standing like the Radiance would avoid publicising a spurious and fake award.
