Islamic law demands humane treatment of animals that are to be butchered! The video
http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=live_transport3 illustrates that some Muslim countries are violating Islamic law in the handling of the animals they are buying. Each and every Muslim who was involved in these crimes should be punished! For, they are crimes against Allah’s laws!
Please take the time to watch this video. But do not allow your young children to watch it. We must educate our Ummah on the proper treatment of animals in Islam. We need to take the time to not only complain amongst ourselves, but our various religious leaders in our various countries need to make an official complaint to the governments neglecting to supervise the slaughter of animals in their countries! Muslims need to be careful not to place their funds where they cannot be certain that the animals are being slaughtered Islamically either! If this means that slaughter is not done in those countries, then perhaps those countries will begin to take more seriously the importance of following Islamic law. No Muslim has the right to mistreat animals in this fashion.
Gouging the eyes out on an animal has no purpose but to be cruel! This is nothing but torture and it needs to be stopped!
