IKHWAN WELCOMES FORMATION OF DEMOCRATIC FRONT PARTY

The Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwanul Muslimoon) has welcomed the decision of the Egyptian Committee of Parties Affairs of accepting the formation of the Democratic Front party, headed by Dr. Osama Al-Ghazali Harb, editor-in-chief of Al-Seyasa Al-Dawliya.
"This party undoubtedly includes figures who are well-reputed for their patriotism and care for interests of their country." Dr. Habib, first deputy chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood, said.
He confirmed that its presence in the arena will increase effectiveness of the political life due to the eminent figures who are well-known for their free and strong views fir Egypt's interests, like Dr. Yahya Al-Gamal and Dr. Osama Al-Ghazali Harb.
Dr. Habib expressed his best wishes for the newly approved party and hoped that it will play a role in ending the state of political deadlock to serve freedom and democracy in Egypt.
The Egyptian Committee of Parties Affairs on May 24 approved the request lodged by Dr. Osama Al-Ghazali Harb and Dr. Yahya Al-Gamal for establishing the party. This party calls for "immediately building a real democratic system" through separating between heading the state and heading the executive authority of a government that, the party programme says, exercises its work under supervision of the parliament. The party calls also for freedom of forming parties.
