Dr. S Ausaf Saied Vasfi in his article, "Let Muslim Leadership Rise to the Occasion" (Radiance, 3-9 June) asks for a Public Interest Litigation to be filed in the Supreme Court on the question as to why the Saffron parties are given a clean chit in all cases of terror blasts. This is a good suggestion but it would be better if it was taken up at the Hyderabad High Court level first.

Shocking and Painful
 

It is most shocking and painful to read that according to Transparency International lower judiciary of India received Rs.2630 crore during 2006 as bribe. This is really very disgraceful. Because of this gross immorality our judicial system has gone awry. Civil society must raise its sane voice against devaluation of justice delivery system.

Solid Action Please!
 

Sachar Committee Report brought to the notice of people of India the sad plight of Indian Muslims. But up to now nothing solid has been done. Is Dr. Manmohan Singh sincere or he wants to placate the Muslims by expressing his good intentions only. Most of the woes of the Muslim community have their roots in their neglect during 40 years long Congress rule and the communal BJP’s stint in the recent past. Let the present government do something concrete.
