JAMIAT DEMANDS REHABILITATION OF BHAGALPUR RIOT VICTIMS
 


Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has demanded from the government to ensure rehabilitation of the family members of 116 Muslims killed in the anti-Muslim riots that shook the village Logai in Bhagalpur district in 1989 as well as the return of about 50 families who had left the village about 18 years ago.

MUSLIMS URGE UPA TO CHANGE ITS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE
 

Muslim leaders on June 19 demanded the United Progressive Alliance withdraw its candidate from India's presidential race after she said Muslim women should stop wearing their headscarves.
