SACHAR REPORT TO BE DISCUSSED IN PARLIAMENT SOON
 

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Abdur Rehman Antulay said that Sachar Committee Report is likely to be discussed in the next Parliament session. The Sachar Report includes 44 recommendations and 32 proposals which have been approved by the U.P.A government. However, three of the recommendations were not accepted, Antulay said while responding to a question raised by C.P.M leader Hannan Mulla and other parliamentarians in a brief discussion.

KARNATAKA TO CONFER KALAM WITH BASAVA AWARD
 

The Karnataka government has decided to honour former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam with the "Basava Puraskara" award in recognition of his services to the nation and selfless commitment to duty.
